I am on my way to costco which is one of my favorite places lol .I do not have private teaching schedule today, so i can have much time to do other things with realxing such as reading a book in Starbucks or just walking around downtown of Ulsan etc. Today is like precious day for me even though I will go to work in the evening. I would gain energy from doing my favorite activities and if I can be happy, I can teach my students a lot better. Sooner or later middle-term exam period will be coming. As this is my first time to prepare the exam season in the academy, I am a bit nervous with anxiety of it. But I believe I can do it very well and cheer up to myself!!

Blog #8: Open Topic / Reflection
For your final blog post, please feel free to write about any topic related to the course. For example, you can reflect on what you have learned about in the course and your e-portfolio project and also discuss any future goals or plans you have to use technology in your classroom.
When I first know this class, I became to be nervous. As a matter of fact, I am the person who is not good at dealing with computer stuff a bit. So every class I tend to be nervous and got stress from it. However, as time goes by, I found it really useful to a language learner. Until today, I sometimes had a difficulty learning English by myself. And one of my friends who is really good at handling computer, and she easily get some information about target language. Moreover, she studies English by various ways. I envied her. After deciding to apply to every e-fortfolio to my future class, I could feel that I started to be energetic at it. As I already fully knew how much it would be helpful to my language learning, I was so happy while doing all of my assignments. I would like to use all of the things that I have learned in this course. I wouldn't stop at this point but would keep doing and using it in my daily life. Now I am confident at dealing with computer when I study English. I tend to try doing it by myself without any fearness.
I think I am very lucky to know this kind of useful web-sites. I like the saying "Bitter is the endurance but the fruit is sweet". Thank you so much Rian and your a lot supports!

It will be really helpful when people want to improve speaking and listening skills. Whenever and wherever we are in, as long as we can access to wifi, we can spend our priceless time listening to this application. For example, when we are in a subway or wait for our friends, we can save our English practice time without any loss. Some people want to chech the script of the program that the person has just listened in order to make oneself fully understand what is going on. If we practice listening through this application everyday, I am sure that our English skill will be really improved soon.

Blog #6: Digital Storytelling
Write brief reviews about the two tools you used to create short lessons with this week (Digital Storytelling through Storybooks, Cartoons & Comics). How could these tools be used by teachers AND students? How could they be incorporated into a class?
1. Pixton
-First of all, I used PIXTON as my storytelling tool. I made cartoon (specifically web-toon) which is divided into 3 sections. I was so happy that I could make this kind of cartoon by myself. The most useful factor of PIXTON is that we can make our own cartoon and share it with other people. Posting a comment to each other is really good for interacting with others. Above all, PIXTON can give students the opportunity to express themselves through comics. By transforming medium is already familiar to students .into a powerful visual witing tool, Pixton can bring fun and interesting back into learning. Students can style text in dynamic speech bubbles, customize props, and compose reusable backgrounds - even upload images and sound. Students will learn how to convey the idea concisely, and how to tell a story in a logical sequence how to communicate and collaborate with others. Comics can be printed, downloaded ,embedded and shared on the web. It allowed students to grasp a better understanding of what dialogue is all about and how to use/write it. Teachers can make their own projects, or import and modify project templates from our shared Project Bank.
2. Domo Animate
-Domo Animate is kind of video activity style, and whoever wants to make their own video clip can access to it at free of charge, and share with others and embedded on one's private web-site or SNS. It looks really interesting and I found it useful to give learners motivation in learning. And one of the intersting things in this web-site was that users can choose animation character by themselves, and the animal characters even have their fans!! I could browse it briefly from 'most views' to 'most fans'. There were so many attractive characters that I really want to use. I wanted to put them on my video clip right away. At a 'WATCH' tap, I could look over thousands of funny videos and I fully enjoy it. When I watched those videos, I focused on the videos which has many clicking and good comments. And it turned reliable. I f I have a chace to introduce some heplful and ineresting learnig tools to somebody, I would definately recommend Domo Animate. Because I do love it!
#I think that teachers can use these twoo tools for giving students more interesting about a language learning. I believe in case of a language learning especially for younger student, motivation and interesting toward that language is really necessary thing. If someone has curious about specific languages, the person will be willing to learn more and more without pushing from other people. At this point, these kinds of tools; PIXTON&Domo Animate ; are really useful for them. Teachers and students can make their own activities like those in the class room and as an assignment. It will be really effective and very fun!!

Blog #5: Corpora, Concordance, Collocations, Word Frequency
#Check out the following sites and report back on how they could be used to inform materials development and classroom instruction.
1.Compleat Lexical Tutor
http://www.lextutor.ca
This website is managed by Tom Cobb, and the aim of this website is for date-driven language learning on the Weblear. When I saw this website first time, I was a bit confused. Because I thought it was not organized well. However, as I tried to search for something using this website, I felt that it is really useful for learners, researchers and teachers.
It has many tests for learners, so learners can check their level form time to time. And also it has a bunch of vocabularies about many parts. In the researchers part, I entered to range home. I typed 'weather', and then a lot of expression came out.
And in 'teachers' part, I-D word identification quiz looked very interesting. The benefit of this part is challenging amusement, integrates form ,meaning, invites look at multi contexts.
2. THE CORPUS OF CONTEMPORARY
AMERICAN ENGLISH (COCA)
AMERICAN ENGLISH (COCA)
*The Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA) is the largest freely-available corpus of English, and the only large and balanced corpus of American English. The corpus was created by Mark Davies of Brigham *
I found this site very useful and interesting. Because once I type some words in searching tab, it can come out a variety of vocabularies. For example, I wrote down the word 'eyes', and then I could know thousand of sentences. I think it is helpful, especially when I need to say or write down something. Above all, it contained a vareity kinds of reading materials, such as spoken, fiction, magazine, newspaper, and academic. Thus, when we are searching for specific expression of some words, it can be really helpful for us to know.
3.Wordle
**Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends. **
As it says in front page, Wordle make us have 'word clouds'. We can make our own fancy word cloud using many variety of words. There is no limitation. We can mix up the words into very unique features like heart, question mark and so on. We can not only make just simple clouds but also very memorable features that have deep meaning. Actually I tried to make my own 'word cloud', it was really fun and interesting. With my favorite words, I could get my own word feature. I was surprised with it, and I definately would like to recommend to my friends and teachers as well.
Blog Post #4: Podcast Review
For this post, please write a short review of a podcast. You do not need to choose a podcast that is designed specifically for English learners, but you can choose an ESL/EFP podcast if you want. Please do the following:
-Listen to one or two of the podcasts.
-Provide a link to the podcast on your blog. Give general information about the content and quality.
-What do you think about the podcast? Which type of learners could benefit from the podcast?
http://www.podbean.com/home/podcast-directory-play.php?eid=5464602
I listened to one podcast which says about fluency in English. The episode's main idea that I listen is How to use “BECAUSE” in English. The speaker said that there are some connections between sentences, so we have to fully understand using of "because' and apply to it at a real situation. The speaker gave me a lot of options, and we might think about use of 'because' in sentence. For example, there is a sentence "They cancelled the game. It rained" And then, we can hear "They cancelled the game because it rained" It means that they had to cancel the game bacause it rained so much" We can mix up the two sentences automatically if we deeply understand about "because"
This podcast was quiet great, because I could practice using of "because" while listening. It was a short one, but it was really impressive to me.
I think this type of podcast is suitable and useful for EFL students at the beginning. As you can see, his all of the podcast specialize in a language learning, especially English. He explained English expressions and grammar by easy way, so I could get them easily as mine at a very short time. I am sure if a beginner student of English sees this podcast, the person will be really impressed by the podcast, and get to know a variety of knowledge of English.

Blog Post #3: Synchronous and Asynchronous CMC Tools
1) Brief descriptions of the tools and links to their websites
Synchronous CMC Tool : Skype
If there is only microphone, anyone can talk to each other through Skype. I think that the best part of Skype is free! Wherever and Whenever you can access to Wifi, it is completely free of charge. No matter how you and your friends' distance far away, it will be no problem. Furthermore, if you have even a webcam, that will be a fantastic place to meet your friends.
Asynchronous CMC Tool : VoiceThread
Voicethread is a voice and video cloud based application encourages us to make many various types of things such as video, images, documents and so on. If you make and then upload the media, it can be shown as a slide show. We can put many types of pictures on it or not. We can share our voicethread with other people or embed in an our website. Anyone who see one's voicethread can make a comment.
2) Your thoughts about how the Synchronous CMC tool and the Asynchronous CMC tool could support learning and the development of language skills. Are there any similarities and differences in how they could support language learning?
Both synchronous CMC tool and the asynchronous CMC tool are useful tools to support learning and the development of language skills.
First of all, I believe that synchronous CMC tool is really helpful to my language learning. For example, Skype. Actually, I found it interesting when I was university student. In my whole university life, I could get along with a lot of foreign friends at that time, and I had to keep in touch with them after they went back to their country. Thanks to Skype, I could meet my friends online and I could improve my speaking skill throgh it. I asked for calling through Skype almost evrynight, and I and my friend could talk to each other in English.
3) Some of your ideas of possible activities and ways that the tools could be used in a language class to supplement in-class content and instruction.
During the class, teachers can give students opportunity to share their ideas. For example, when students have some specific topics or questions that they should make the answers, they fully can share their thoghts by using scribblar. Students keep typing something and erasing something over and over again, and they can easily write down anything they want without any pressure. Just feel free to say something! Then after the class, students who participated in the course can make a group together and gather in same on-line place through oovoo. Oovoo can make students chat together with up to 12 people at the same time. By using oovoo, students can express their feeling and ideas with others dirctly in face-to-face system.
Therefore, synchronous CMC tool and the asynchronous CMC tool are very effective for students to express their ideas and share with others. I believe that the most important thing in learning is to participate in the class and share ideas with others by using effective tools. In conclusion, they all are really useful!

Blog Post #2 - Presentation Tools & Screencasting Tools
1. I used Prezi as my presentation tool. This is Prezi address.-http://prezi.com/your/
2. Prezi was amazing presentation tool, and I was so impressed by its variety of templates that I have never seen it before. I could make a great presentation for EFL students in terms of speaking and writing. Many things were already organized well, so I only had to come up with some ideas about the topics by myself and then apply into it. It was very useful, especially people like me who has many difficulties of managing computer stuffs.

Blog Post #1: Teacher Resource Sharing Site Review

1. General description of the website
The American English website provides resources for teaching and learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL), exploring American culture, and encouraging conversation within the global EFL community.
American English is a resource center for teaching and learning about American English language and culture. This website provides a variety of engaging materials and resources for teachers' professional development and for students in the classroom. Both teachers and students will find new ways to practice English and learn more about the United States.
2. Assessment of the quality of the content
As I already mentioned above, it has a very useful resources both for teachers and learners. First of all for teachers, it lets teachers find ideas and materials to engage your students in learning English. It consists of audience, pedagogical category, skills, type of content, and theme. Second of all for learners, it provides books, stories, songs and MP3s for English langauge learners.
